Join LA Greens for Monthly Meeting Wednesday, 10/21

Join LA Greens at our meeting this Wednesday, Oct. 21, 7pm at the Peace Center.

Our member Linda Piera-Avila was recently appointed to the newly formed Santa Monica Urban Forest Task Force. Yay Linda-- all your hard work running for Santa Monica City Council last year paid off with visibility and clout!! (See below for first mtg. info of the Urban Forest Task Force, which is open to the public.)

German Green Party member Birgit Czerny, a physician in Frankfurt, Germany, will be our guest. We look forward to meeting her and hearing Green Party news from Europe.

And we'll talk about ongoing candidate efforts--we have at least 3 candidates so far from our local running for office in 2010!!

The Los Angeles Greens meet the third Wednesday of every month at 7PM at The Peace Center, 8124 W. Third St., Los Angeles, CA 90048. Meetings are free (donations accepted) and open to the public. Children are welcome. Parking is available behind the building.

Bring vegetarian snacks or drinks if you can to share.
